Eyeglasses
I wear and recommend the following:
Frame: Silhouette (TMA Icon) black
Lens material: Trivex (for under -4.00 prescriptions, over -4.00 I recommend High Index 1.67)
Anti-glare Coating: Hoya Recharge
Not all lens materials, coatings, and designs are the same. I made a best/better/worst categories for LENS MATERIALS, ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATINGS, and PROGRESSIVE ADDITION LENS (PAL). Eyeglasses are custom and should fit well and be able to be worn comfortably for the entire day.
MATERIALS
Best: Trivex or High Index (for above -4.00 Rx) (features: same as polycarbonate, but better optical clarity)
Better: Polycarbonate (features: lightweight, impact resistant, 100% UV protection, scratch resistant)
Worst: Plastic CR-39 (features: cheapest, good optical clarity)
ANTI-REFLECTIVE COATINGS
Best: Hoya Recharge or Crizal Sapphire360
Better: Crizal Alize
Worst: "standard" house coating
PROGRESSIVES (PAL)
Best: Hoya ID Lifestyle 2
Better: Varilux Physio Drx
Worst: "standard" house brands at retail optical stores
